Google Play Music is going away. The transition will start in the next 30 days and go into the end of the year. Google Podcasts will be replacing Google Play. These changes will happen gradually and to assist Google Play has made it easy to transfer your content over to Google Podcasts with just one click, so don’t worry about your playlists, uploads, etc. Here’s a link to Google Podcasts to get started on transferring your content.

If you’re unsure about the transition go ahead and play around with the new platform and see how you feel! Take this as an opportunity to find more ways to connect with your audience. Listeners will be able to listen to search your podcast through Google Assistant, Google Podcast, and more. There’s also a feature that will allow you to see when listeners tune in and out of your episode. This is a game-changer! This will help you gauge where your listeners connect most. Lastly, there will be a feature that lets you know where listeners are tuning in.
